Turkish Wind Energy Congress TÜREK@home panel series’ “Turkey Supply Chain Overview” session was held online on July 28, 2021.

Nuclear Regulatory Authority Technical Vice President Dr. Moderated by Oğuz Can, the panel was attended by Ateş Çelik Deputy Chairman Mahmut Güldoğan, TPI Composites EMEA and India Vice President Gökhan Serdar, Siemens Gamesa EMEA Purchasing Manager Necmettin Aslan, DowAksa CCO Tamer Bozacı and Aselsan Transportation and Energy Systems Program Director Günay. Şimşek participated as a panelist.

Stating that the recent developments in the sector and practices such as the EU Green Agreement mean not only the fight against the climate but also an economic transformation, Mahmut Güldoğan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ateş Çelik, said, “As Ateş Çelik, we have become an important actor both in Turkey and in the global wind supply chain. We are trying to come. This is both motivating and challenging. We ship equipment to all markets, including China, the Americas, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe. We need to constantly analyze and take action where technology and competition are going. We need a vibrant domestic market. Although we are going to have 1,500 MW newly installed this year, it would be very optimistic to say that this will continue until 2030. Even if we build 1,500 MW every year, we will lag behind Spain. We must not accept this. While our production capacity is 5,000 MW, we must provide at least 1,500 MW.” used the phrases.
