Boosting offshore renewables will accelerate the energy transition and allow G20 countries to build a resilient and sustainable energy system, a new report by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) finds. Offshore Renewables: An Action Agenda for Deployment actively contributes to the G20 agenda by identifying actions which support the commercialisation of offshore technologies such as wind, wave, tidal, ocean thermal and floating PV in pursuit of extending their deployment worldwide. The report was launched by IRENA’s Director-General Francesco La Camera during the meeting of G20 Environment, Climate and Energy Ministers in Naples.

Erciyes WPP, owned by Enerjisa Enerji, has been granted a 49-year production license by EMRA.

With the decision numbered 10260-13 taken on June 10, 2021, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) belongs to Enerjisa Enerji Üretim AŞ; It granted a 49-year production license to the Erciyes Wind Power Plant (WPP) Project, which is under construction in Yahyalı district of Kayseri.

When Erciyes WPP is commissioned, it will have a capacity of 65MWe.

The onshore wind energy project portfolio consisting of 13 wind farms with a total installed capacity of 315 MW in Italy and Sicily was purchased by Eni.

While Italian oil and gas giant Eni is investing in wind energy, an agreement has been reached on the sale of one of Italy’s largest onshore wind project portfolios. It is predicted that the power plants, consisting of 256 wind turbines in total, will meet the energy needs of approximately 200,000 households.

Wind energy meets 16% of the electricity need in Europe and about 9% in Turkey. Wind, which is clean and cheap energy, also represents 300,000 jobs in the EU, while each newly installed wind turbine generates 10 million euros of economic activity.

The Middle East, and the Gulf in particular, has been home to record low solar tariffs in recent years. Major projects are being awarded via tenders, with prices gradually closing in on a remarkable 1 USDct/kWh. The wind energy unit of the Russian State Atomic Energy Agency Rosatom, NovaWind A.Ş. VetroSGC A.Ş, a subsidiary of the company, received the necessary permission for the Berestovskaya Wind Power Plant. The total capacity of the power plant, which will be built in Petrovsky in Stavropol Krai, will be 60 MW.

The necessary permission for the construction was given by the Stavropol Krai Autonomous Institution, after the experts reviewed the design documents and came to a positive conclusion.

World Wind Day is celebrated by all environmental countries on June 15 for a better future. While the Moscow Stock Exchange registered the exchange-traded bonds program of Atomenergoprom A.Ş., the Russian State Atomic Energy Agency’s subsidiary of Rosatom operating in the nuclear sector, the stock market bond program and securities prospectus were approved at the Atomenergoprom Board of Directors meeting on April 26, 2021.

The total (maximum) nominal value of the bonds to be issued within the scope of the program will be Ruble 100 billion, and the maximum maturity period of the bonds will be 3,640 days from the first placement date.

Energy Minister Fatih Dönmez announced that Turkey is approaching the limit of 100,000 MW in total installed power and today, 52.3% of our installed power is from renewable energy.

Minister Dönmez attended the summit with the theme of “New Economic Order in the World, Climate Crisis and the Importance of Renewable Energy in the World” held by the Renewable Energy Research Association (YENADER) with the video conference method, and in his statements, the share of electricity production continues to increase even during the new type of coronavirus epidemic.
