President of the Russian Federation Tatarstan Republic Rüstem Minnihanov had promised to invest in Turkey’s first and only chemistry specialized OIZ, GEBKİM, which he visited with the Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank on Wednesday, June 23. A preliminary protocol agreement was signed between the petro-chemistry giant Tatneft and GEBKİM for the investment of maleic anhydride project. With maleic anhydride to be produced for the first time in Turkey at GEBKİM, raw material dependency will be reduced.
