LG aims to switch to 100% renewable energy by 2050.

According to the released ‘LG Electronics Sustainability Report’, LG is committed to reducing carbon emissions in the production phase to 50% of 2017 standards by 2030, while expanding its promise to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 through its “Zero Carbon 2030” initiative.

Starting in North America, LG will power every office and production facility with renewable energy and operate regionally within the year; It will implement the strategy of installing solar panels in its buildings, making power purchase agreements, using Renewable Energy Credit (REC) certificates, participating in Green Premium and purchasing clean energy from Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) in LG’s headquarters in Korea.
