In June 2021, the G7 Leaders committed to “net zero no later than 2050” and to “lead a technology-driven transition to net zero, supported by relevant policies”. These commitments demonstrate political leadership and come at a critical time, ahead of the 26th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. G7 members – Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States plus the European Union – in 2020 accounted for nearly 40% of the global economy, 30% of global energy demand and 25% of global energy-related CO2 emissions.</p>

And while its core market is trucks, trains and buses look like a bigger commercial opportunity in the near term.</p>
<p>The Columbus, Indiana-based manufacturer, which supplies diesel engines for boats, heavy-duty pickups, delivery vehicles, buses and semis, laid out a comprehensive strategy in its “<strong>Hydrogen Day</strong>” presentation, covering its production of fuel cells, stationary power systems, fuel tanks and electrolyzers to help companies make their own hydrogen.</p>
