From this standpoint, the port structure design, operation and management applications are quite vital for better and sustainable life maritime sector where national and international laws are valid, with the recognition and appreciation of the fact that the negativities that may be experienced due to the nature of the maritime profession can cause damage not in a particular region but on a global scale.

These are the findings of a joint analysis released today in Ankara by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the International Labour Organization (ILO). Investing in wind and solar power to satisfy future energy needs would thus yield not only environmental benefits but also strong economic ones, in terms of growth, job creation and the trade balance.

Accordingly, Daikin has increased efficiency in its products with energy efficient inverter technology and R-32, a refrigerant with a lower global warming potential, while preventing damage to the ozone layer. With the localization project, it provides a cost advantage of 2 million euros with the products it buys from Turkey.

While greenhouse gas emissions temporarily dipped during the pandemic, the resulting crisis also accelerated the world’s dependence on online activities, exacerbating digital pollution.
Taking action to turn digital ‘green’

Here are six ways businesses can become more digitally sustainable over time.

Assess the impact of your digital infrastructure

Begin by measuring your website’s carbon footprint by using tools such as the Website Carbon Calculator.

The SCCO2 has been calculated under a range of climatic and socioeconomic assumptions (Havranek et al 2015, Howard and Sterner 2017, Tol 2018), giving a wide range of best estimates.
