Cyber ​​security company ESET drew attention to such attacks, stating that the attack on the Colonial fuel pipeline reminds us of the increasing cyber threats to critical infrastructures.</p>
<p>The Colonial pipeline system, which is about 9 thousand kilometers long, was affected by the cyber attack in the first week of May, and millions of barrels of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel could not be transported from the Gulf of Mexico to the East Coast.</p>

In partnership with the industrial gases firm Linde and E.ON subsidiary Avacon, the company has<strong></strong> commissioned a green hydrogen plant powered by wind energy.</p>
<p><strong>Hydrogen</strong> will replace the <strong>carbon necessary</strong> for <strong>smelting iron ore.</strong></p>
<p>Avacon operates seven newly built wind turbines with an output totalling <strong>30MW</strong> on the site while the steel company has installed 2 Siemens <strong>1.25MW</strong> electrolysers, which will generate around <strong>450 cubic</strong> metres of hydrogen per hour.</p>

<p>The proposed <strong>20 MW</strong> extension to the solar farm at the site, consisting of <strong>37,000</strong> additional solar panels, represents a further step in Nissan’s path to <strong>carbon neutrality</strong> and would result in <strong>20 percent</strong> of the plant’s energy coming from onsite renewables if approved.</p>

In a Thursday email, according to Bloomberg Green, LG Chem said it would not only sink $4.5 billion into battery capacity expansion, but it would hire 10,000 workers.</p>
<p>The company hatched the plan over the last year in response to what it says as the <strong>growing demand</strong> for electric vehicles and President <strong>Biden’s</strong> ambitious green policies.</p>

<p>Annual deployment is also expected to continue to climb over the coming years, with <em>BNEF’s optimistic forecast expecting</em> <strong>221GW</strong> to be installed in <strong>2022</strong> and<strong> 240GW</strong> in <strong>2023.</strong></p>
<p>The research organisation has today published its<strong> Q1 2021 Global PV Market Outlook</strong>, which states that at least <strong>160GW</strong> of solar will be deployed <strong>in 2021</strong>.</p>
