GlobalData has announced that Vestas is the leading global wind turbine manufacturer in 2021.

Vestas Wind Systems is the leader in wind turbines with a 19% share of global installations with 16.6 gigawatt (GW) installations in 2021, while high-level projects commissioned in America and Europe and stable installation activity in Asia-Pacific have allowed it to exceed the 16.6 GW limit.

In its home market, the United States, GE Renewable Energy has over 11.7 GW of power, representing approximately 13.4% of annual installations worldwide.

Volkswagen has announced that it has decided to invest in its own battery cell factory. Many automobile companies manufacture electric vehicles and hybrids, but most of them rely on batteries purchased from a few existing battery manufacturers.
