Piezoelektri\u011fi basit\u00e7e anlatmak gerekirse bas\u0131n\u00e7 uyguland\u0131\u011f\u0131nda elektrik \u00fcreten yar\u0131 iletken malzeme diyebiliriz. Zemine uygulad\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z bas\u0131nc\u0131 yani mekanik enerjiyi elektrik enerjisine \u00e7evirip elektrik \u00fcretmek olduk\u00e7a basit olmas\u0131na ra\u011fmen \u015fuan dolayl\u0131 olarak insan g\u00fcc\u00fcnden elektrik \u00fcretimi di\u011fer enerji \u00fcretim \u00e7e\u015fitlerine g\u00f6re yok denecek kadar azd\u0131r. Bir\u00e7ok \u00fclkede prototip a\u015famas\u0131nda kullan\u0131lan bu sistem, yaya ve ara\u00e7 trafi\u011finin yo\u011fun oldu\u011fu cadde ve sokaklar\u0131n alt\u0131na yerle\u015ftirilmektedir. Bu sistem ile yol ayd\u0131nlatmas\u0131 ve trafik \u0131\u015f\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131layacak kadar enerji \u00fcretmesi m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fcr. Depolanmas\u0131 halinde ise g\u00fcnl\u00fck hayat\u0131m\u0131zda (televizyon,buzdolab\u0131 v.b. gibi) kullan\u0131m\u0131 i\u00e7in idealdir. \u0130ngiltere&#8217;de bir maraton yar\u0131\u015f\u0131nda yola d\u00f6\u015fenen piezoelektrik sistemi ile hedeflenen bir \u015fekilde elektrik \u00fcretimi sa\u011flanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Saatlik \u00fcretilen bu elektrik enerjisinin az oldu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclsede uzun vadede y\u00fcksek olan enerji maliyetlerinin \u00f6n\u00fcne ge\u00e7ebilir.<\/p>\n<p>\u015eehirlerdeki yo\u011fun caddeler, sokaklar, terminaller ve havaalanlar\u0131 gibi, ara\u00e7 ve insan trafi\u011finin yo\u011fun oldu\u011fu mekanlara yerle\u015ftirilen piezoelektrik sistemler ile KW cinsi seviyesinde, yayg\u0131nla\u015fmas\u0131 durumunda ise g\u00fcnl\u00fck MW seviyesinde elektrik \u00fcretimi m\u00fcmk\u00fcn olabilece\u011fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir. \u015eehirlerde kurulmas\u0131 halinde alternatif bir enerji kayna\u011f\u0131 olabilece\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclen bu sistemin bir\u00e7ok \u00fclke de deneme \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131na ba\u015flanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.
