Kaya gaz\u0131 ile do\u011falgaz\u0131n k\u00f6keni ayn\u0131d\u0131r, yaln\u0131zca \u00fcretim ve sondaj teknikleri birbirinden farkl\u0131d\u0131r. D\u00fcnya enerji \u015firketleri petrol ve do\u011falgaza alternatif olarak kaya gaz\u0131 \u00fcretmeyi planl\u0131yor. ABD gaz ihtiyac\u0131n\u0131n 3\u2032te ikisini 2035 y\u0131l\u0131na kadar kullanmay\u0131 hedefliyor. ABD\u2019nin en b\u00fcy\u00fck hedefi kaya gaz\u0131 konusunda ihracat\u00e7\u0131 konumda olmakt\u0131r. 2010 y\u0131l\u0131 i\u00e7erisinde d\u00fcnyada kaya gaz\u0131 ama\u00e7l\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131lan 15 bin 467 kuyunun sadece 10 binde 5\u2032i ABD d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda a\u00e7\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.
