Projenin ilk etab\u0131 olan ke\u015fif dal\u0131\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n tamamlanmas\u0131 sonucunda belirlenen alanlardaki hayalet a\u011flar dal\u0131\u015f ve teknik ara\u00e7lar\u0131n yard\u0131m\u0131 ile su alt\u0131ndan \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131l\u0131yor. Bir y\u0131l boyunca devam edecek projede toplanacak bu a\u011flar\u0131n gerekli kriterleri kar\u015f\u0131layan k\u0131sm\u0131 geri d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fclerek Ar\u00e7elik\u2019in \u00fcretti\u011fi beyaz e\u015fyalarda kullan\u0131lacak. Hayalet bal\u0131k a\u011flar\u0131 da son y\u0131llarda ekosistem i\u00e7in b\u00fcy\u00fck bir tehlike arz etmeye ba\u015flad\u0131. Denizin alt\u0131nda y\u0131llarca formunu koruyan hayalet a\u011flar, bir\u00e7ok canl\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcne yol a\u00e7arken ekosistemi tehdit eden t\u00fcrlerin ortaya \u00e7\u0131kmas\u0131na ve su kalitesinin bozulmas\u0131na neden oluyor. Bu alanda uzmanla\u015fm\u0131\u015f iki k\u0131ymetli ortakla b\u00f6yle bir inisiyatifi \u00fcstlenmi\u015f olmaktan b\u00fcy\u00fck mutluluk ve gurur duyuyoruz\u201d<\/em> dedi.<\/p>\n<p>WWF-T\u00fcrkiye Genel M\u00fcd\u00fcr\u00fc Asl\u0131 Pasinli ise konuyla ilgili olarak <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u015funlar\u0131 s\u00f6yledi:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cBilimsel ara\u015ft\u0131rmalara g\u00f6re okyanuslardaki at\u0131klar\u0131n yakla\u015f\u0131k %10\u2019unu olu\u015fturan hayalet a\u011flar denizlerimizdeki plastik at\u0131klar\u0131n en \u00f6l\u00fcmc\u00fcl\u00fc. Her y\u0131l 500 bin ila 1 milyon ton bal\u0131k\u00e7\u0131l\u0131k malzemesi okyanuslar\u0131m\u0131za b\u0131rak\u0131l\u0131yor. Plastik kullan\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n do\u011faya verdi\u011fi zarar\u0131 eskisine k\u0131yasla daha iyi biliyor olsak da g\u00f6zden uzak hayalet a\u011flar\u0131n etkilerini anlamak biraz daha zor. B\u0131rak\u0131ld\u0131klar\u0131 yerlerde senelerce t\u00fcr ay\u0131rt etmeden avlanmaya devam eden hayalet a\u011flardan; k\u00f6pekbal\u0131klar\u0131, deniz memelileri, deniz ku\u015flar\u0131 ve deniz kaplumba\u011falar\u0131 da etkileniyor. WWF t\u00fcm d\u00fcnyada denizel plastik at\u0131k olu\u015fumunun engellenmesi i\u00e7in kampanyalar y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fcyor ve hayalet a\u011flar\u0131n zararlar\u0131n\u0131 kamuoyuna daha iyi anlatmak i\u00e7in fark\u0131ndal\u0131k \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 yap\u0131yor.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Deniz Ya\u015fam\u0131n\u0131 Koruma Derne\u011fi Y\u00f6netim Kurulu Ba\u015fkan\u0131<\/em> <strong>Volkan Narc\u0131<\/strong> proje ile ilgili olarak <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u015funlar\u0131 s\u00f6yledi;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Son y\u0131llarda Marmara Denizi\u2019nin zengin biyo\u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011finin korunmas\u0131 ve s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fclebilir olmas\u0131 i\u00e7in olduk\u00e7a kapsaml\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar yap\u0131yoruz. Bug\u00fcne kadar<strong> 32.000 m<sup>2<\/sup> <\/strong>hayalet a\u011f\u0131 deniz dibinden temizledik. T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de bu konuda uzun y\u0131llard\u0131r ve s\u00fcreklili\u011fi sa\u011flayarak \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 ulusal ve uluslararas\u0131 arenada y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fcyoruz. Denizin bazen <strong>30 metre<\/strong> bazen daha derinlerinde bulunan bu a\u011flara \u00f6rne\u011fin <strong>karabatak gibi ku\u015flar<\/strong>, kabuklular ve <strong>hayalet a\u011flara tak\u0131lan t\u00fcrlerle<\/strong> beslenmeye gelen deniz canl\u0131lar\u0131 yakalan\u0131p \u00f6l\u00fcyorlar. Biz bunlar\u0131 temizlemezsek belki<strong> 50<\/strong> belki de <strong>100 y\u0131l<\/strong> deniz dibinde kalarak <strong>milyonlarca deniz canl\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcne<\/strong> neden olacaklar. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar son derece riskli ve hassasiyetle y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fclen \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar.
