{"id":157030,"date":"2022-06-08T08:47:54","date_gmt":"2022-06-08T05:47:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.enerjigazetesi.ist\/?p=157030"},"modified":"2022-06-08T15:51:05","modified_gmt":"2022-06-08T12:51:05","slug":"danimarka-da-ruzgar-dan-hidrojen-ureten-enerji-adalari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.enerjigazetesi.ist\/en\/danimarka-da-ruzgar-dan-hidrojen-ureten-enerji-adalari\/","title":{"rendered":"CIP Unveils Plans for Offshore Wind to Green Hydrogen Energy&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has unveiled plans to build an artificial island dedicated to large-scale production of green hydrogen from offshore wind in Denmark and has entered an agreement with Allianz Investment Management (AIM) to perform a feasibility study for a similar project in Germany.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>In Denmark<\/strong>, CIP is proposing to build an island called <strong>Brint\u00d8<\/strong>, which is planned to be established on the Danish part of Dogger Bank, an area expected to become a central hub for the future build-out of offshore energy infrastructure in the <strong>North Sea<\/strong>, according to <strong>CIP.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-157034\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enerjigazetesi.ist\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/danimarka-da-ruzgar-dan-hidrojen-ureten-enerji-adalari.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"170\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.enerjigazetesi.ist\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/danimarka-da-ruzgar-dan-hidrojen-ureten-enerji-adalari.jpg 684w, https:\/\/www.enerjigazetesi.ist\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/danimarka-da-ruzgar-dan-hidrojen-ureten-enerji-adalari-300x102.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.enerjigazetesi.ist\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/danimarka-da-ruzgar-dan-hidrojen-ureten-enerji-adalari-500x170.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.enerjigazetesi.ist\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/danimarka-da-ruzgar-dan-hidrojen-ureten-enerji-adalari-80x27.jpg 80w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The island would be connected to <strong>10 GW<\/strong> of offshore wind, which would be used primarily to produce green hydrogen via <strong>Power- to-X<\/strong>, and is planned to be in production<strong> by 2030.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Brint\u00d8 would be able to produce around 1 million tonnes of <strong>green hydrogen<\/strong> per year when fully built out, which corresponds to approximately<strong> 7 per cent<\/strong> of the EU\u2019s expected<strong> hydrogen consumption<\/strong> in 2030, according to CIP.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cBrint\u00d8 \u2013 and over time other adjacent energy islands \u2013 will produce very large amounts of green hydrogen from offshore wind for export to nearby countries, e.g. Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Brint\u00d8 will thus create a foundation for the production of sustainable green fuels via Power-to-X for trucks, ships and aircrafts\u201d<\/em>, CIP said in a press release on 20 May.<\/p>\n<p>On 19 May,<strong> CIP<\/strong> and <strong>Allianz Investment Management (AIM)<\/strong> announced that they would conduct a feasibility study for an artificial energy island in the German North Sea, which would be connected to large-scale offshore wind farms.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c<strong>The power<\/strong> and <strong>Green Hydrogen<\/strong> from energy islands will be connected to the public grids in Germany to provide a sizeable contribution to domestic energy production and security of supply\u201d<\/em>, CIP and AIM said in a press release on 19 May.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Energy islands<\/strong> create an <strong>onshore environment<\/strong> at an <strong>offshore location<\/strong> which makes it possible to cost-effectively build <strong>electrical infrastructure<\/strong> and produce <strong>green hydrogen offshore<\/strong>, the <strong>two partners pointed out.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Both the plan for the energy island in Denmark and the feasibility study in Germany come as a response to the announcements made by the German government on an accelerated <strong>green transition<\/strong> and the declaration from <strong>18 May<\/strong> signed by the <strong>Ministers of Energy of Germany<\/strong>, <strong>Denmark, Belgium<\/strong> and the <strong>Netherlands.<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has unveiled plans to build an artificial island dedicated to large-scale production of green hydrogen from offshore wind in Denmark and has entered an agreement with Allianz Investment Management (AIM) to perform a feasibility study for a similar project in Germany.
