A new partnership formed aims to increase investments in renewable energy projects to speed up the global transition to net-zero emissions.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"\"The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)<\/strong> and the Climate Investment Funds (CIF)<\/strong> will leverage their networks and cooperate on scaling up investments in low-carbon energy<\/strong> resources.<\/p>\n

IRENA and CIF will share their expertise in raising capital and deployment of renewable energy projects<\/strong> to increase global investments in clean projects for climate mitigation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The two will work with governments to develop<\/strong> and enact policies<\/strong> that encourage more investments to be directed to the expansion of clean capacity. IRENA<\/strong> and the CIF<\/strong> will also foster collaboration between governments, the private sector, civil society, local communities<\/strong> and major multilateral development banks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The partnership comes as global investments in renewables<\/strong> are on the rise.
