There were 61 electricity procurement contracts announced in the Europe region in Q1 2021, marking a rise of 42% over the last four-quarter average of 43, according to GlobalData\u2019s power industry contracts database.<\/h1>\n

Power Plant<\/strong> stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories<\/strong> in the Europe<\/strong> region in Q1 2021<\/strong> with 206 contracts<\/strong> and a 44.1%<\/strong> share, followed by Generation \"\"Equipment with 106 contracts<\/strong> and a 22.7%<\/strong> share and Electricity Procurement<\/strong> with 61 contracts<\/strong> and a 13.1%<\/strong> share during the quarter.<\/p>\n

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData<\/strong> in the quarter was as follows:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

– Power Purchase Agreement:<\/strong> 54<\/strong> contracts and an 88.5%<\/strong> share<\/p>\n

– Project Implementation:<\/strong> 5<\/strong> contracts and an 8.2%<\/strong> share<\/p>\n

– Electricity Supply:<\/strong> 2<\/strong> contracts and a 3.3%<\/strong> share.<\/p>\n

Looking at electricity procurement contracts<\/strong> by the type of technology<\/strong> in the Europe region<\/strong>, solar accounted for 38 contracts<\/strong> with a 50%<\/strong> share, followed by wind with 31 contracts<\/strong> and a 40.8% share<\/strong> and hydro with 6 contracts<\/strong> and a 7.9% share<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
