Today, figures from industry body <strong>WindEurope<\/strong> put <strong>offshore<\/strong> <strong>wind capacity<\/strong> in<strong> Europe<\/strong> at around <strong>25 GW<\/strong>. This compares to just <strong>42 MW<\/strong> of capacity in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The White House<\/strong> said meeting its new goal for offshore wind would trigger in excess of<strong> $12 billion<\/strong> a year in capital investment.
