Uludag Electricity Distribution Inc. (UEDAŞ) implemented the “Gökçeada Energetic Enough” project in Gökçeada to reduce carbon emissions and accelerate the transition to renewable energy within the scope of the European Union Horizon 2020 program. Within the scope of the project, which will set an example for the effective use of renewable resources, an energy storage facility will be established in Gökçeada by UEDAŞ.

Renewable power plants and generators on the island will be integrated into the Virtual Power Plant (VPP) system to be established.
