With the Paris Agreement governments agreed that global greenhouse gas emissions need to be net-zero by 2050 to limit global warming to well below 2°C; but current emission reductions efforts fall short reaching this goal, the world is currently on track to 3°C+. The energy and especially the power sector with its fossil fuels coal, oil and natural gas is the dominant source of emissions.

A rapid decarbonization is required to enable emission reductions in all sectors.

GÜNDER (International Solar Energy Community Turkey Section) to Turkey by the “Solar Energy Roadmap” report was prepared. The report, “sustainability of the sun” to carry the main purpose of the DAY, “Today, the most comprehensive prepared for our country and the contribution of all the stakeholders of the sector, this road map in the light of the current situation includes the expectations of future.” He introduced the report.

Indicating that solar energy is aimed at achieving sustainable growth with solar energy, GÜNDER aims to reveal the synergy between energy policy and industry, employment and technology policies.
