Welcoming the YEKA GES-3 competitions, which have been completed, and the provision of 1,000 MW capacity rights to the solar energy sector, GENSED emphasized the importance of commissioning these investments as soon as possible. GENSED President Halil Demirdağ said, “Every year, 110 million dollars will remain in our country thanks to the additional 1,000 MW SPP.”

The completion of the YEKA SPP-3 competitions, developed within the scope of the Renewable Energy Resource Areas (YEKA) model of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, and the granting of 1,000 MW capacity to 74 solar energy projects in 36 different cities was welcomed in the sector.

While the first part of the Mini YEKA competition for solar energy in 36 provinces starts with the tenders held on April 26, 2021, the 1000 MW Mini YEKA competitions also play an important role in spreading renewable energy investments to the base.
