Nynas’ new innovative insulating liquid NYTRO® BIO 300X has been successfully delivered to and tested in a transformer serving electricity customers in Gothenburg, Sweden. The city’s utility company Göteborg Energi opted to use the bio-based and biodegradable insulating liquid in a transformer located in a sensitive water protection area.

“As the transformer is located near a source of drinking water, we needed to make absolutely sure that no oil is spilled in the area, and we needed to use an insulating liquid that is highly biodegradable,” says Ferruccio Vuinovich, Planning Engineer, Göteborg Energi.

ABD Enerji Bakanlığı’nca (DOE) yayımlanan son raporda, hali hazırda ülkenin enerji ihtiyacının % 3’ünün güneş enerjisinden elde edildiği, bu oranın 2035’e kadar % 40’a, 2050’ye kadar ise % 45’e ulaşabileceği belirtildi.

Bakanlık bu hedeflere ulaşılabilmeye yönelik ülkenin yıllık güneş enerjisi için yapılan kapasite artırım yatırımlarının 4 katına çıkartılması gerektiğine de vurgu yaptı.

Ayrıca hedefe ulaşmak için diğer bir şartın ise kömür ve doğalgaz’dan enerji elde edilmesi için kurulmuş alt yapı ve elektrik şebekelerine yapılan kamu yatırımlarının noktalanarak karbon bazlı enerji kullanımını caydırıcı politikalara ağırlık verilmesinin gerektiği belirtildi.

New analysis by energy think tank Ember reveals that, for the first time, solar panels generated a tenth of EU-27 electricity during their peak months of June and July this year.

New records were set in eight EU countries, including Spain and Germany. However, solar panels still generated less electricity than Europe’s coal power plants, even during the height of their summer peak. The analysis shows that annual growth in solar output needs to double to meet the EU’s 2030 emissions targets.

‘Solar Bridge’, Turkey’s First Solar Energy Sectoral Company Search Platform, was launched by the Solar Energy Industrialists and Industry Association (GENSED).

Developed as a digital platform, the “Sun Bridge” offers a reliable and transparent company search site for investors aiming to generate electricity from the sun. With the platform, it is also aimed to bring together potential solar energy investors and respected and reliable companies of the solar energy sector.

From the application, which is open to all stakeholders of the solar energy sector, all companies will be able to provide membership services free of charge until 31 December 2022.

According to the information compiled from the industrial production and retail sales data showing the slowdown in economic activities in China, the decrease in fuel demand in China caused oil prices to fall by about 1.5% on the first working day of the week, falling below $70.

The barrel price of Brent oil is currently trading at $69.57, while the American West Texas oil (WTI) continues to trade at $67.35/barrel, down 1.6% compared to Friday.

Germany has reached its target of one million registered battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, said the government in a press release. This means the country has reached its 2020-goal around about half a year later than originally planned.

Fifty-four percent of the registered electric vehicles are battery-electric, 46 percent plug-in hybrids, said the government. “Our transport will be irreversibly converted to renewable energies,” said economy minister Peter Altmaier and called reaching the target a “decisive milestone”.
