Rolls-Royce’s all-electric aircraft “Spirit of Innovation” made history as the fastest electric aircraft in the world by breaking 3 new world records. Having successfully completed the record attempt, the aircraft successfully broke the current record of 213.04 km/h, reaching a maximum speed of 555.9 km/h at 3 kilometers at 18:45 on 16 November 2021, Turkey time.

In subsequent trials at the UK Ministry of Defense’s Boscombe Down experimental aircraft test site, the aircraft achieved a speed of 532.1 km/h (330 mph) over 15 kilometers, breaking the record for the fastest time to reach 3000 meters in 60 seconds, 292.8 km/h faster than the previous record.

Rolls-Royce is revealing its new mtu fuel cell system, which is positioned as the future carbon-free energy provider, for the first time at the UN Climate Change Conference COP26. It is planned to start mass production of the mtu solution for energy supply in the megawatt range on display as of 2025.

Rolls-Royce, which develops fuel cell systems for ships in addition to this technology it has developed, continues its preparations for an engine series that will play an important role in the use of sustainable

fuels within the scope of the “Net Zero at Power Systems” climate protection program.
