Record Increase in Solar Power Capacity Expected This Year in China

It is stated that this year, the solar energy capacity in China will increase by 75-90 thousand MW, breaking a record.

While solar power capacity in China is predicted to reach a record level with new investments that will come into operation this year, according to the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) data, it is predicted that China’s solar power capacity will increase by 75-90 GW in 2022.

CPIA President Wang Bohua emphasized that China has the opportunity to increase its solar power capacity by 83-99,000 MW each year in the period 2022-2025.
